Manor was sitting on a bench in front of a fountain. It was one of those fountains that had statues spitting water. Dressed in jeans and a plain white t-shirt he was trying to relax before he did something stupid even by his standards. At his side was a black duffel bag and in his hands was the play Hamlet. After a few minutes of attempting to understand the book, he closes it and places it in the duffel bag. He rubs his eyes and leans running his hands through his hair.

Matthias was just out on a run in the park, trying to get his cardio ready for having a 20 minute long match, inside of a cage no less. He didn't like using a machine, all they were to him were copies, trying to give you the same result by just staying at home or going to the gym. Nothing could replace actually doing the real thing in Matthias' mind. He stopped to rest for a bit by a fountain, watching the statues shooting out water. He looked around some and saw someone sitting on a bench with a duffle bag. He looked familiar. Then it hit him.
"Hey I know you. Your Scott Manor."

Manor opens his eyes looking at the man who talked to him. You look familiar. Wrestler for SCW who mentioned me in one of his promos if I'm not mistaken.

"Yeah, I did. It was when Kenji had a open challenge and I accepted it. I mentioned you cause I didn't like what he had done to you. I know we're in Vegas for this company and this might be the wrestling business, but trying to take away someone's lively hood, maybe even more, it just irks me. That's not what true wrestling is about. It's about respect, honor and pride not blood, violence and gore."

Manor chuckles a bit. True wrestling is like beauty. It's in the eye of the beholder. I imagine what you see as true wrestling in this business is different what I see.

This business is ninety-eight percent appearances and two percent reality. I can lose every match I'm in, and still be seen as more of a threat than an undefeated person if I carry myself right. A pause as he zips up his duffel bag. If all you do is win the PRIDE title, then you've done nothing. Make sure people talk about you or take shots at you, and you've done everything.

"Then you and I are very different people Scott. I'm not in this business for the glory or the fame. I'm not here to be a threat to someone despite or cause of a win loss ratio. I'm here for competition, and the first step is the Pride title. It's the very reason that I signed with SCW was cause of that. It represents what I believe in, the things I mentioned earlier. We may have different ideals when it comes to the business, but I would hope that you would at least respect mine as I do yours."

To a point. No matter what, if it comes down to me and you at any point, I'm gonna do everything I can to make you look like a fool. I may respect you, but I'm still gonna do what I do best and try to tear you apart on the mic. Manor stands up and does a stretch. As long as you don't come out to the ring complaining about how people don't consider you a big deal. Worse yet is when you talk about yourself like a big deal, rarely show up or show up at the last minute and make excuses for it.
