Listen lex, you can't just leave your contract behind, and venture off to find success when you get bored with a company. Your bringing the family name through the mud, and making us all look bad for endorsing you.
Her "fathers" voice was loud, dominant, and not one to ignore. She knew exactly what she was doing, despite her family doubting her every move. It wasn't about "wrestling" anymore, it was about competition, dominance, and finding "her".
Look, you can doubt me all you want, it's not going to deter me from doing what I have to do. If it takes me distancing myself from the family, changing my name, and starting over, from scratch, then so be it.
All he could do was shake his head. This was nothing new to him. He lost his oldest "daughter" to this same venture. He knew there wasn't a single thing he could say that would sway her to playing it safe.
You do whatever it is you think you need to. I'm always going to be your father, and if it takes you doing all of that, then do it. I'll be the one keeping an eye on you from afar. Just.. just don't go too far in this. I don't want to lose another Da..
She cut him off before he could even finish what he was going to say. She knew it was coming.
Don't! Don't you dare compare me to her. She was a fool to do what she did. She wasn't in her right mind. She was brainwashed from day one. You set her up to fail. You told her it was better for her to work there, and when all was said and done, you pulled the switch on it. Your the one who got her into it, and your the one who forced her out of it. I don't even know where she is to this day. All I know is she is out there, and I intend to find her. With, or without your backing. I've got my leads, and I'm not sharing them. So don't even think of sending someone to follow me, and try to find her first.
That was the last thing she would ever say to the man who raised her. Not her birth father, but the man who took that role when he found her.
